Groningen has delivered another great pop/rock band! Duroc is making her approach and doing so by presenting a brand new EP. Since the founding of the band many shows have been given, on increasingly impressing venues. So now with this new EP in store they want to continue this trend. Time to get acquainted with Duroc Catchy pop/rock songs and back to basic. Duroc immediately claims full and constant attention with their songs. You should not underestimate the power of melody and that's what this band from Groningen has fully comprehended. Their music is mainly inspired by bands from The United Kingdom like The Kooks, The Killers, The Beatles, but also Muse and The Police. Furthermore, from their own country bands like Johan and Voicst influence them. Duroc is always aiming for beautiful music and an open sound. Duroc is: Robert ten Caat; Vocals and guitar. Yde Blaauw; Vocals and bassguitar. Janco Klijnstra; Drums. Founded in november 2006. The band was founded in November 2006. Now, December 2008 the new and second EP "Since You've Been Around" has been released. This record has been recorded, produced and mixed in great collaboration with Guido Aalbers (Coldpay, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Live). The mastering was performed at the famous Wisseloord Studios. This four songs containing record is expected to be received enthusiastically by the press, like their debut-EP "Place Duroc" was. But also by main venues. Therefore Duroc was able to play in great Dutch venues like De Melkweg, Vera and Het Kasteel. Furthermore the band performed at the Eurosonic festival 2008 and they have performed live at both 3FM and KinkFM radio. "Since You've Been Around" exactly reflects what Duroc stands for and proves that Duroc is a band that deserves full attention. Make sure you don't miss them!
